What is Glutathione?

Glutathione (GSH) is a naturally occurring tripeptide, meaning it’s made of three amino acids:

• Glutamic acid

• Cysteine

• Glycine

It’s found in virtually every cell of the human body and is often referred to as the “master antioxidant.”

What Does Glutathione Do?

Glutathione plays a central role in protecting and maintaining cellular health. Its main functions include:

 Powerful Antioxidant

• Neutralizes free radicals and reactive oxygen species (ROS)

• Protects cells from oxidative stress, which is linked to aging and chronic disease

 Cellular Detoxification

• Essential for liver detox pathways

• Helps bind and remove toxins, heavy metals, drugs, and metabolic waste

• Works closely with enzymes like glutathione peroxidase and glutathione S-transferase

• Supports proper function of T cells, B cells, and natural killer (NK) cells
